Student (6th-12th grade)

We aim to help students grow in their faith and understand that they are the church of “today.”

OUR PURPOSE

In student ministry, we strive to lead students to become passionate followers of Christ. By partnering with parents and trained leaders, our mission is to teach and inspire the next generation to be founded in their faith and confident in their Creator. Through regular Bible study and small group gatherings, we encourage students to walk boldly towards Christ, apply His truth to their lives, and develop strong, life-changing relationships with the God of the universe. We want our students to know Jesus so that they might be excited about sharing His name and making Him known to others. Our prayer is that the church would be the future of our world and our students, the future of the church.

Student ministry at our church serves students 6th -12th grade. With weekly programs for the students, we have something for everyone!

Ministry Values

There are values that we consider very important in the TCBC Student Ministry:

We want to encourage you to spend time in God’s Word consistently. What that means for you will be determined by your desire to grow. While there are many useful tools to use for daily devotionals, we strongly encourage the use of the Word of Life quiet time.

For more information about WOL quiet time, please contact the church or click here.

Your small group leader can work with you to establish a goal for having a quiet time with God throughout the year.

WOL adult QT

At TCBC, we want to encourage you to get into the habit of serving. We have developed a list of creative ideas you can jump into as you glorify God through evangelistic and service opportunities.

Attendance is a large part of our Creative Discipleship process.  We are seeking 70% attendance rate over the course of an academic year.

Each year, the Student Ministry examines 24 verses that correspond to the lessons throughout the academic year. Each verse is paired with a key question to help you remember and apply the Scripture to your life.

At TCBC we spend much time and effort on reading and understanding the Bible. Additionally, we want to encourage students to read good Christian books.  We believe that learning from a great Christian book can impact our lives.
